Here come the rain again
Original Oils on stretched canvas 20 x 24 inches x 1.9cm
This painting, like many is based on the view from my window looking across to the fields and woods on Riddlesdown common. It is painted from memory with lots ofartistic licence. I try to go for a run a few times a week and the path I run is through this tree line, which is usually covered in muddy puddles.
What always fascinates me when painting a new piece is that I painted one thing, and the viewer can see something completely different. I really enjoy watching the viewer looking at my paintings and pointing things out that they can see.
This painting is named after the song by the band Eurythmics, lazy naming, I always listen to music when painting and this song was playing when I was thinking of a name.
